All are published in 1809 by LONGMAN HURST et al. Bursting with illustrated plates (over 150) throughout.All are complete, lovely - engraved by Messrs Lowry and Scott. Including 6 on Anatomy, 14 on Aves, 21 on Mammalia, 3 on Botany, 6 on Pisces. Also very interesting Plates on Technical Subjects including ; Lifeboat, Rowntree's Beer Engine and Fire Engine, Trevithick's Pressure Engine, Horology, Clock Work, Dialling, Diving Bell, Microscopes, Spirit Level, Observatory, Hawkins' Scotograph, Planetarium, Barrel Organs, Steam Engine.
Other subjects include Architecture, Heraldry, Conic Sections and much more. Nicely bound in half leather over marbled boards. Gilt title lettering on red block to the spine which has gilt bands and gilt decoration.
Board edges lightly rubbed and board corners are a little bumped. Light scattered foxing through the volumes.
Plates are titled with subject and numbered within the section - all appear to be present although sometimes mis-numbered and/ or mis-bound (bound not in order).
